This is a blank I made a little while ago and it nearly killed me making it, I am quite pleased with how it looks, it's stainless swarf in resin on Trivalent Chrome Baron. It looks like a mixture of Brass and Stainless, but that is because I coloured the resin and the deeper Stainless looks like Brass and the Stainless nearer the surface looks natural.

It is. I have just noticed that I forgot to turn a piece of the same blank for the cabochon/top finial.

Thanks, Jim. It really does look like a mix which is great as it will go with more kinds of platings on the kits. I remember Edward Po asking if Stainless could be used, I didn't think so as I thought it would rip out the resin when it was turned so I thought I would give it a go, I had to keep sharpening the tools, but then I had to do that with the brass and aluminium swarf.

Lovely pen peter, love using swarf, bloody stuff soon mounts up! :rolling: makes sense to make use of it, got it in containers everywhere!.:thumbs:
