Kevin that pen looks nicely made & finished, it has a nice reflection mark which shows the high sheen you've achieved.
It would be better on a plain white background as the pen is merging in & it should be the main attraction. :thumbs:

Nah, the paper spoils the view. Put some heart back in it, adds intrest and makes you really look at the pen, which is quite worth it.

It doesn't matter to me Kevin, I can see it on either.

But can see the reason for their comment on distractive backgrounds.

However you have done a great job of it and looks like your efforts are paying off now..

Lovely pen Kevin. I actually like the first picture but getting a good image with glass and keeping the contrast right for the pen is a bit of a black art I think. The distinction between a distracting background and one which enhances a product is a very small one. It cannot be easy or there would be no room for professional advertising photographers!
