Two pens in one week from me on the Forum? Unheard of! Well, you've gotta try out your new stock haven't you?:whistling:

This one is a blue pearlescent acrylic blank on a Sirocco in a brushed pewter finish.

Very handsome in indeed. Looking forward to trying the new ones myself! (Also looking forward to trying the ones I already ordered which seem to have taking up residence at Customs. Grrrr....)

Very nice Phil, are there any plans for the scirocco in Rhodium platings?

No plans at present Paul. All resources are currently going into two or three completely new kits which hopefully will start to appear in the not too distant future. But never say never.

Philip, my dear man...I can't help but feel like you're holding out on us. Is there something you want to share with me ( and 5000 of our closest friends)? I am late learning about your products - new to this and all...but you offer amazing products. And you have "two or three" NEW ones? You dog! I would be glad to work with prototypes. You know...on this side of the ocean and all....a Yankee's perspective! (Shhh...it's okay. We don't need tell the mates.)

Tease.
Are they "all" going to be fountain pen kits?
Not done a fountain pen, seems it can get a bit technical.
I mean for the customer, wether their left or right handed as to what nib to fit, size etc.

No truer words were ever written, my friend.

The preview of the Zephyr was really nice. Marketing will be tough, though. It would seem that only people with unusually small hands would be drawn to it, and they will need to be short-winded if I am any judge of the new model's ink capacity. Good luck, though.

Hi Phil.
Where are your pen kits produced. I'm not after a name of the company just interested if they are produced here in the UK.

Cheers
Paul

The Zephyr is a fountain pen, and a rollerball. There's a ballpoint in the wings and another fountain pen in the pipeline, but they don't have names yet.

The nib thing is really easy to deal with though Dave. 95% of people will be happy to buy your finished pen with the nib it's supplied with, which is our own German made medium. It's a lovely nib. Once they own the pen, a good proportion of them might want to experiment with different nibs, but they're interchangeable, so it's easy, and of the other 5% will will want you to supply the pen with a different nib, but again, its easy - you just screw in the new nib in place of the supplied one.

A good proportion of my orders on a Monday morning are for size 5 nibs in kit compatible housings, from makers needing nibs after the weekend fairs. We try to get them out the same day, so they can fulfill their orders for pens with bespoke nibs. Most makers don't try to second guess their customers requirements - they're aware of the alternatives we can supply, and just use that knowledge to sell or take an order.
