Black Sirocco, red/black blank

Here's another Sirocco. Black one this time.

This was a good lesson for me in choosing blanks.
The blank I picked was very dark and gloomy, just glimmers of red in there. I thought it would go well with the black Sirocco.

When I turned it, it really brightened up. Polished up, it looks jewel-like.

I think it works still. The red is punchier, but the black lines and folds tie it to the black kit very well.

Acrylic can be like wood....you never know what is going to be like till its turned....i have had some nice surprises..
That works well and looks nice....well done:thumbs:
