We'll was in shed doing a pen for someone so thought I would attempt an acrylic.
Went ok I think thought it would have a bit more marbling than it does.

The blank for this shape slimline has to have tight marbling as you said ,nevertheless they came through in a softer way. Two pens ready to say look at me.

Still least I have a pen no one can pinch as it's quite a bright finish!!

....and you'll always be able to find it on your desk. :wink: You're being very hard on yourself Graham - firstly you've got your first acrylic under your belt, and secondly, it's a good looking pen.
