Mr. McKenzie sent a blank for me to try - I"ll let him talk more about the blank itself when he spots the post. (I don't pretend to understand all of that voodoo...I am certain that blank-casting is one of the "dark arts!") The blank does have a silver sparkle different from the regular DiamondCast blanks, but just as handsome, and really poorly represented by my phone photos. This one is on a silver Baron kit with matching cap accent band and end finial button. This was really a delightful blank and a fun project.

Nothing like the Binary in person I promise... It's a deep blue, silver, and black. The "special" part is that the silver uses a pigment that is coated with REAL silver. I'm pretty close to making it officially a part of my line up but still experimenting with a few different particle sizes. The pigment itself costs more than buying silver itself... but my oh my it looks good in person.

All the DiamondCast look good in the hand, it’s just trying to show them off in photos

Now thats another special one.....very nice blank and kit choice....stunning:drool::drool:

Thanks, Mark. - I really like the kit, especially being able to get it in silver. I wouldn't compare the quality to a Mistral (I don't think the plating measures up, and everything isn't "perfect" as seems to be the case in the latter), but it has some flexibility with a little "fussing." Thanks again!
