Custom pen similar to my last. This is my first attempt at making the pocket clip, so I purchased only the Bock #5 nib, Beaufort converter, and Beaufort Scots Pine ink to test it. There are flaws, but this was the trial that told me that it's not beyond my grasp. This one features a McKenzie blank and a typically bad set of Hardy photos. :)

Most turners would rest on their laurels with these pictures Greg. The pen stands out to display the colours within. Very creditworthy pen IMHO.

Nicely done Greg, liking the small shallow ball at the end of the clip and it's detailed for you first one. Did you press that in from the back or is it a solid piece of shaped material?

Thanks, Greg. (I think I am communicating with you on a Facebook group too?) This was done with 16 gauge sheet nickel (alloy). It is constructed like the ones you would know from kits with a ring - I just buried the ring on this one. Cut the whole thing out flat, file and sand. The dome was done with a small dapping block. Then bent to fit the pen and buffed thoroughly. Watch for Jason to reply to our common post for his video. Thanks again!

Thanks, Mark! Another McKenzie blank and it was really much more beautiful than my pix display. I am finally reaching the point where I can make everything in my tiny little shop but nibs, and I am perfectly happy to let the fine folks at Bock continue to do so! (And Phil's converters, of course!)

Peter.

Thanks, Peter. Cleared a space on my set-up desk in the shop and snapped the iPhone a few times. I didn't even crop or repair in software this time. (Maybe I need to "try less!")
