Any time I tried to remove a blem on the plating it ended up being removed.
And that was lightly buffing without any compounds.
Maybe try on a spare? part first.

Suspect plating appears worst on the bottom of the pen suggest dissasembly and a new kit. blank well worth doing it.

A while since anyone's posted a Roman Harvest - that's a cracker.
I'm not sure you'll have much luck restoring the plating though I'm afraid. As Angelo said, you're likely to remove the rest in trying I think, but if you have a Plan B and you decide to give it a go, I'd be interested to know how it goes.

She wants it by Saturday, will have to dis-assemble my only other RH pen .

Managed to find another RH kit,
looks good , will just add on price of kit to the Comission .

Pen disassembled , re-assembled and looks good, have ordered a couple more kits from Timberman , one to replace the blotchy one which had a stunning Amboyna timber on it and one for later on .
