Hi, Guys,

After the recent topic re re-sharpening carbide tips I did just that...and put edges back on some circular ones, using a diamond stone. I turned four of Dan's Omegas, which I think are the best-looking pens on the market today. I had no problems in the turning except that I had to raise the lathe speed and be more aggressive with the chisel than normal. All the blanks were finished with grits to 600, and Brasso, followed by a good polishing. The blanks were acrylics from the Timberbits range.

Beautiful pens. A sharp tool makes all the difference in the world. American professional turner John Jordan always says, "The answer to your question is go to the grinder."

Once again, many thanks for your comments, guys!

If anyone is interested, the Timberbits reference numbers for the blanks are: blue is PB069, red is PB010, green is PB071, and white is PB013.

Bob.
