I love this pen, may I ask where you got the blank?

Hi its a George Watkins...."from the tree" blank he cast some special blanks, easy to turn and finish and always stunning...
Dan is now stocking Dan Pompe blanks which have cones in....but i have no experience of them:thumbs:

Love the blank, the finish and the closed end job.. spot on.

Just don't like the gun metal plating for that blank.. But that's me, sorry.

I would have used a rhodium or chrome. The gold nib looks really nice touch and matches the blank well but I think all Gold would have been too heavy.. I think the blank deserves Rhodium personally.

I like what you have done, like the kit, the blank and the finish but not together for me.. Then again I am a grumpy old git that knows nowt and doesn't have any taste at all..:sob:

When I looked at your pen Mark I thought what a great idea to have black in the front part turns out its gunmetal photographs pure black to me. I have noticed over time a consensus with platings a large number of preferences are for black or gun metal. It is personal mate for me its a ripper as you made it right about the blank.

Peter.
