This is a Carbara kit in black chrome. The blank is an acrylic from Beartooth Woods called All Hallows Eve. I like both more than I thought I would, but especially the blank. It looks "smoky" in places, and I don't know if that's part of the blank, or because I reverse painted it with black.

That is suitably epic Jim and the colours tickle all the right points for me. I'm going to have to add that material to the wish list along with a black kit of something or other! Lovely work.

I'm glad you did, looks great. The join between the material and the front section is invisible, I'm envious of the machining and finish, got a way to go there myself.

I didn't do anything special, just used a normal barrel trimmer.
