This kit was originally turned with walnut. The top coat broke so I tried to disassemble the kit. While trying to get the parts out of the tube with transfer punches it broke the threads off.
Not being one to give in i decided to grind the remaining part flush and look at possibly making a closed end.
The biggest problem was that the other part was still in tube so I also had to find a bushing to fit as didn't want to use centre and risk damage to threads.
Quite pleased how it came out for a save.
