I think that Marmite pen is a good description, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A beautifully made pen Ash but a bit of a colour clash but itís what the customer ordered.

My first reaction was 'yech', but then I had to look again, the first relook was a bit like 'weird' then I thought well you aren't going to have it stolen!! Then on a third look it became weirdly attractive, I think that was the overall shape closed which is nice. There is no doubt it is controversial with the colour mix but on reflection if the client is an extrovert then it is a good pen, if an introvert then its going to make them look like a closet extrovert.!! That brown is special, the jury is out on the pink my wife thinks the opposite which probably means something!!

Overall well done nice shape and technical expertise, I wish I could make a kitless like that I just dont have the patience.

Well....I like it....lovely shape when closed and that pink really adds something to it.....when open again lovely shapeing and yes that pink may be a little bold, but look at it from the other way.....what other colour would/ could work? It would be too much if it were all the same (although that smokey colour is stunning) colour so compliment or contrast?? The pink wins!!

Fantastic looking blanks, looks like snakeskin.

The first picture is very nice with a personal touch requested by the customer. Then the cap is removed and the full horror is revealed.

Thanks Pierre. You have very accurately described the various emotions I went through whist I was in the process of making it

Thanks Paul. I think "...the full horror.." is my favourite bit of feedback yet!

With so many random patterns matching is not crucial, this applies also to so many burl pens. Not mine in colour choices but not for me so if the request is met then the customer rules as ever. You make beaut pens.

Very nice indeed. Likewise, I am not sure about the mix of colors.
