I have made a pen from start to finish without anything going wrong.

However or but

This is the first time I have turned a pen and I have not liked the kit.
In fact I really, really, do not like the kit.
Maybe it's the blank that spoils it, or maybe it's the gold, I just can't put my finger on the reason I don't like it.

If you look at the tip section there is a seam showing that really (in my opinion) cheapens the whole pen, the part above the clip is barrel shaped and (again just my opinion) makes the pen just not feel right.

It was a joy to turn and assembled with no issues.

As usual my photo's are naff.
I have a chrome version of this kit that I will try out and see if it looks better with some colour.

As Woody has said above mate, concentrate on the good bits.... Nice blank, well turned and finished, that's the bit we normally struggle with :whistling:

Oh and photography :face:

Somewhere ,somehow someone will pick up this pen and love it,ie without predudice or explanation. The diversity of pens/people is amazing. Personal preferences allow us to love Bulldogs,Slobbery dogs in general etc. Try it ie my suggestion.
