Lime Green, Black and Chrome Zephyr

This is my first Zephyr and I don't know why we don't see more of them.

As always with Phil's kit it feels high quality.

I have been hesitant with the lime green as to if it would work with the black and chrome, really glad I went ahead and did it now.
Let me know if you think it works.

As usual the photo's are naff, sorry about that.

I think it works really well, personally I think you could've painted the drilled hole and you wouldn't see the tube... Also depends on what colour you choose you can dial up or down the lime colour
Otherwise it makes a lovely pen and the Zepher IS overlooked, great choice

You are absolutely right regards painting inside the blank, in my defence (also Known as trying to blame everything except myself) when I did a "Dry run" to see how well the tube fitted I didn't really notice the tube showing, the more I turned and sanded it the more of the tube I could see I told Mrs G that it was gold pigment in the resin.

I have downloaded the PDF in the tutorials about editing photo's (To be posted) using Photopad as I am doing a disservice to my pens. I don't have a mobile phone but may get a cheap one just to take photo's on.

Oh those photo's are really bad

Looks good Gary. It always pays to paint the hole if the blank is translucent.
If it looks right it usually is! My namesake

You have a camera, why do you need another gadget to take photos?

I’m not an acrylic sort of guy having worked with epoxy, polyester and acrylics most of my working life but I do see the attraction. Very striking pen and the colour certainly stands out from the crowd. Well done.
I take most of my photos in natural light but I also use a light box that has led lighting. You can pick up a folding one from eBay quite cheap or, dare i say it, make one.

    Good question.

All, without exception, of the photo's I take of my completed pens are out of focus slightly. I have the camera set to Auto and they are still naff

I know it's hard to believe but I take most of my pen photo's in one of those light boxes from eBay Not this pen though.

I just thought, the photo's may be out of focus due to me having shakes and tremors

I have the shakes but I use a phone tripod so no shakes. It works for me most of the time.
