Been busy work wise and v little shed time but wanted to use some highly figured Oak Burr I picked up

Trouble was it didn't want to be a pen! Had to listen to Walter and abandon CA for tubes - Epoxy for Burr from now on. Then it wouldn't take a CA finish staying wet. Started over and 3 or 4 coats of sanding sealer and long gaps between CA and Finally got there. Could have made 10 acrylics in the time it took but I do like it

Think it suits the Gold Omega but C & C welcome. (Still using IPad for photo's - one day!)

Beautiful pen Andy. Oak burr and CA don't mix. - my regime for oak is 1 coat diluted acrylic sanding sealer. 4 to 6 coats malamine lacquer. 2 coats carnauba wax. Bomb proof finish. High shine. 5 minutes. Job done.
