Here is a Twist Action "Curvado" pen in Gold plate.
Made using Burr Myrtle and finished with Friction polish and black bison wax.

I'm with Les - the pen is beautifully turned and is obviously deliberately left proud of the centre band on both barrels, but I can't stop thinking about it. It's a bit like when you get a broken tooth and just can't leave it alone!

What was your thought process, Johnny?

It is the design of the pen to have the centre band as it looks in the photo.
