Thought I'd make three wood 'uns, but not very good. Ordered a new mandrel, as I think that is causing me issues, now that I think lathe vibration sorted. Ah well, early days and all that.

Thanks Jim for the wood blanks, can not say I did them justice.:down:

Which mandrel did you go for? I'm trying to decide, for my first one

Look at the Axminster deluxe mandrel it is also a collet chuck and could be very handy, if you are into pens.

Thanks Peter. Bought it now.

That's the one I was going to buy a week ago, then somebody said Rotur better, then another said, the cheap £18 will be fine.
