On a black background. Wood rework, cut from a bowl arty idea I did a while back, that was OK but ended up on the wood pile.

While it is nice enuf I don't think that segmenting scores or bands helps in this case.
That is a beaut blank on its own.

Interesting pen. The blank looks like it was a beauty, but I feel the segmenting has detracted from the beauty of the wood :nooidea:

I love it as it is, a superb piece of wood and wonder if it would be even nicer without the segmenting. :thumbs:

Was not deliberately segmented, the blank stuck very quickly, so I had to either bin it or square the ends and stick the other part on. Hence the wee bands to hide the middle joint a tad. I hated to waste the grain etc, so from disaster to what you see.
