Slimline are the best pen to start on and work your way up but you Will find that pen turning is very addictive

Try making them without a center band. They look completely different.

You can also make a "mini cigar" by turning a wider wooden center band like this

Hi sbwertz
As below, ive made centerbands from wood before but havent made them wider than the usual bands so will have to give that a try,as i said, ill use that method in conjunction with a closed end slimline kit to make the pen larger and more cigar style without having the clip

Thanks

Welcome indeed Matthew what with joining thin strips every which way so many first pens lots of ideas like to add one Timberbits.com sells the centre bands for Streamline pens of different colours seperately gives an oportunity to make thicker Slimlines play with designs etc. Looking to follow your path in Pens, All the best Peter:goesred:

Welcome Matthew. Nice to see your efforts so far, which are to a very high standard. I particularly like how you've incorporated plywood into some of them - very striking!

Waiting with interest for your next lot inspired by Sharon (sbwertz).
