Camphor Laural is a declared weed species. Spreads easily grows really large trees. A mate of mine in a Catholic College taught Woodwork this stool was made in class by a 14 yr old boy. I was invited to the schools annual exhibition. Okay every piece is not going to be this interesting however careful selection by the teacher when he goes on holidays to the Nth Coast he selects nine out of ten beautiful logs for the school use on his brothers property. Worth a look I believe.

Kind regards Peter.

I love Camphor Laurel. I made a piece to take a 3 inch pillar candle and of all the pieces that I have turned this is my wife's favourite.
I remember when I turned it my workshop smelled of Camphor for over a week and that included the dustbin!!!!!:thumbs:
