I nipped down to the Minster this morning to have a look at the auction lots.

There was a massive queue at 11am, the auction was due to start at 12.30!

I didn't stay for it Vic.
The weather was crap and you could tell stuff was going to go for silly money!
They had some small fixed price stuff that had been polished up and stamped "York Minster", mainly end grain bits of shaped beam. a piece about 8" was £30, the bigger ones were £80 +

There was some very nice looking Cherry and Sycamore in the park.
Unfortunately it was not removable:whistling:

Thanks for sharing Neil I was curious when it was announced first I remember the building from deep down inside on a ghost walk one evening through York Minster.
