I realised this afternoon that I had a few of these (top picture) lying around from another purpose. Delrin rod.

A few minutes later I had one turned down to fit into the Jacobs chuck in the tailstock.

Another one in the chuck and hey presto I have a pen press with fine control !

If anyone would like 1 or 2 of these bits of Delrin then pm your address and I'll pop in the post for you.
