Hiya guys, Just joined forum a couple of days ago trying to find my way around. Can anyone tell me which is the best: Pressure or Vacuum chambers for pen casting? I'm a bit confused as to which does what when casting resin.
Cheers guys

For castings a pressure chamber is probably better than a vacuum chamber to get rid of the bubbles. You could also consider an ultrasonic cleaner to place your resin in prior to pouring it into a mould; this gets rid of bubbles, provides additional mixing and is cheaper than a pressure pot. Just pour slowly and evenly after the ultrasonic bath.
The "best" solution will depend on the resins you use, ambient temperature and how much you want to process at any one time :thinks:
