I have this chunk of wood measuring about 24 inches by 12 inches by 4 inches. I think it is elm :thinks:

It has two holes, one penetrates right through at an angle. The other hole is plugged by a growth (burl?)

I have a feeling there is something interesting I could make from it but I have run out of ideas :nooidea:

Any polite suggestions ?

That is a hard one I did start by saying what I would do but its hard without actually seeing it in the flesh all I can say is good luck there is something hidden in there personally I would put it to one side and one day the right idea will come to you that's what I do with bits like that

A few years ago that would have gone in my bin ... How things change ... :frenchkiss:

I can't help you with a design Mike, but i would love to see the finished article when you actually came up with something... :bwink:
