I was just wondering what people use to seal the end grain of blanks to stop them splitting while they drying ?

Take a guess
I use PVA, I got the idea from my local saw mill as it`s what he uses.I buy it by the gallon for about £7.

Another thing I picked up from him was once applied liberally spread wood chipping in the PVA, adds another layer for the escaping moisture to penetrate & also uses up shavings.

Candle wax, melted of course...... At last I found a use for all those stupid fancy candles that are strewn hither and thither around the Lea household
