This is one for the many creative people we have on the forum.

We would like to create a Logo for the forum. If you would like to have a go at a design and show your creativity we look forward to seeing what is put forward.

There are plenty of free logo creating sites, but please don't use one of them as we would prefer to see real innovation.

If you don't think you could create a logo on a computer and you are like me and can't draw for toffee you could sketch your idea and if we think that is the best idea we could have it made up properly.

If you are able to create a logo on a computer then lets give it a size of 4" x 4" and in black & white.

You can create as many logos as you want each one will be judged on it's merit.

Any logo submitted must be your own work and you must own the intellectual property.

We would like to have the exclusive rights of use for the forum to use as we want for any medium available to us now and in the future or copyright.

The copyright of non winning logos will remain your property.

For the lucky winner of the logo competition your name will be hallowed forever on the forum:

Plus

I will make you a Watch Part blank for any viable kit you want, but you must supply the tubes and measurements of certain components, so that I can make a mould for your blank.

I will also make you a SteamPunk style blank for any viable kit you want as long as you supply the tubes and measurements of certain components, so that I can make a mould for your blank.

I can also promise you timber blanks, but at the moment I can't get to them so can't list them.

If you have any questions please ask here and we will do our best to answer them.

The deadline is 20th. March 2016

I might well have to dust off photoshop.

Could it be a photo of something physically constructed that could be adapted Peter?

I don't see why not as long as it could be recreated in ink, maybe even converted in photoshop, difficult to say without seeing it, but it sounds intriguing:thumbs:

Just one legal point that may or may not be applicable as it is often ignored and myself included.
you say.

It should be and if not may be worth adding to the T & C's of the board for the sake of copyright etc.
any work either written or picture in any form must be your own intellectual property IE you must be the author, becomes the property of this board upon upload.
Or words to that effect.

One thing I did miss out, but will add it, now that you have brought it up is "must be your own intellectual property"

Any works either written or photographs belongs to the author and I have seen many competitions where weasel words were used in the T & C's simply to get copyright of every entrants works. It is morally wrong to take copyright from someone without payment and I won't be part of it. As for the logo competition there is no need to have copyright if we have exclusive use, but if the author wishes to pass us the copyright and accept whatever goods will be offered as payment then I believe we have a legally binding contract. A written contract will be provided.

I only mentioned it for your own protection, whichever way you choose is your prerogative.
I do know of some that will not be liable for any postings, they will be removed if and when challenged and any legalities forwarded to the poster.
That's the beauty of links, credit remains where it is due.
