This is the second jig I built and is a more flexible version. The left end pivots around a threaded rod. The other end is simply screwed into the base. 2 clamps to hold the blank in place during the cut. The larger clamp holds the stop in place. I prefer the sharp end on the stop to prevent saw dust from interfering with the spacing. This jig is used on the table saw and cuts inserts that are .105" thick.

The second jig used on the band saw and is for veneer inserts which is .023" thick. Both slide in the miter slots of the machines.

The last 2 photos are of my original jig and examples. I finally realized the knots were too close together and that when making smaller diameter pens the detail literally disappeared.

Revision #3. With the jig set at 60 degrees the rear clamp is in line with the blade so I added another clamp. This will allow me to keep the clamp elevated and out of the way.
