I had this ready from last year and just got around to finishing it today. It is one of those unidentified blanks from Jim, but i am sure i could smell eucalyptus when shaping it? Poor picture quality folks. The blank edges were very porous but was able to hide this coming in deeper and still having the pen fitments fit ok.

Good shape Tony, but its unfortunate that the picture doesn't bring out the true colours of the blank. Your right, some pieces are bad for the porous edges, i have sometimes added CA before i started to turn the pen. :frenchkiss:
