I made it about 6 months ago Jim. For some reason I got the urge to make a harp so I researched it on the web, bought all the hardware and just sort of built it. I suppose the challenge was could I do it. It didn't turn out too bad for a first effort. The wife likes it anyway, it makes a good conversation piece sat in the corner of the room. A mate of mine roughly tuned it and we strummed it a few times but thats about it. One day I'll get some to tune it properly cos I'd love to hear it played.

For a first attempt it is very good Keith, and like you i would also want to hear it play if i had made it. :bwink: Did you cut the pieces to shape on a bandsaw?

Yes Jim, all cutting done on bandsaw then final shaping was done by hand with a concave spokeshave - that was hard work. I'm going to make a ukulele next its just having the time to do it. I've got the hardware and have started but then bought a lathe.... Sometime this tear I'll get around to finishing it.

I know the problem Keith, it can be a bastard when you have more jobs than time ...
