A slimline pen made from Kingwood, the center band is made from a small piece of my own casting. Accents are from the gold fancy range of slimline pens. :thumbs:

Thats a nice piece of timber Jim, whats the finish on it. I've got a piece of black cabbage bark thats got a similar grain I hope to get something done in the next few weeks.

Thanks Keith, it is finished with friction polish and a coat of renaissance wax. After i had finished sanding this pen i used a couple of coats of sealer as in the past with this wood there is a lot of dye comes out when polishing it up. Two coats of sealer then left overnight before making the final finish. :thumbs:
