I think it was Doug who kindly gave me some logs and this is one of them I think it is Sycamore well every thing about is says it is I am going to burn a dragon on the side of it and give it an oil finish enjoy

I forgot to mention that I took the inside out with the Robert sorby Sovereign system and now I have had another play with it I would say it is as good as the Roly Munroe once you get the hang of how it cuts then the shavings come flying out of the vase and it took no time at all to hollow well pleased with its performance in some respects I think it is better than the Munro the bar locks into the handle mush better and safer for one and the handle is more comfortable to work with normally with a vase this size my arms and shoulders ache but they didn't today it was a real joy to use

Well I didn't have the benefit of the Chairman plonker professional advice to guide me so I just done my best sorry it isn't up to your standard Sir but I did try my best with my limited knowledge of turning honest :fart::fart::thumbs:

Thats the one I've been looking at Woody. I'm going to see if there's any deals on at the forthcoming woodwork show in Harrogate.

Do you want a good laugh I haven't stopped since I noticed it done all the art work and pyro put the first coat of oil on stood back to admire it as you do and well see for yourself I will say it before you all do PLONKER maybe even DOUBLE PLONKER HA HA HA enjoy please another day tomorrow things can only get worst :funny::funny::funny:

I done the drawing on the lathe from the tailstock end as you can see in one of the first lot of photos
