I have joined a new local group called Men in there sheds it is literally just up the road from me and they meet up every day the work shop isn't finished yet they still have some machines to go in but it looks to be OK some of them want to learn woodturning so that should be interesting they have an old lathe which they want me to set up and use it to show them how to turn so we will see I'm going down there after I have had a cuppa from what I have seen they seem to be a nice crowd so it should be good to meet up with like minded people wish me luck from what I have seen so far they all seem to be old farts over the hill so I should fit in LOL

Good luck with your new friends, matey. With you mentoring the woodworking I can see that the club will be changing its name to the ??? Woodturners Shed. And all its members will become excellent in the art of turning. Well done!

They were on the One Show a cpl of weeks back.

Seem to do quite a bit of charity work with stuff they produce, some of the stuff on the tv was awesome.

I gather it's a national thing so there may be one near you !

Just got back met some more of the guys had a bit of a laugh and they have ask me to do some demo's in the new year I'm going back tomorrow and do a bit of toshing

This is the only forum I bother with Jim men in sheds is a a club type thing just a few doors away from me and the honour is all mine mate belonging to such a great bunch of plonker LOL
