Keen to try out a Microplane I bought a few weeks back this started out as an ordinaryish piece of discoloured Sycamore.
Only as I got to shaping the bowl did I find not only the spalting but a long crack, undeterred mainly as it was the softest piece of wood I had to try the Microplane on, I applied CA to the crack & carried on.

I`m quite pleased with the results & will be trying this type of fluting again, though this particular bowl will definitely not hold the milk I want on my cornflakes :thinks:

Jezzz there`s nothing like pressure :funny::funny:

I`ll take some photos when I do the next one, chances are it will have V shaped flutes on it as I bought a triangular Mircoplane yesterday.:whistling:
