I ordered some EEE ultrashine from Turner's Retreat was sent Dr Kirk's Scratch FREEE, when I rang to query the order they said they could not get EEE ultrashine and had sent an equivalent alternative, has anyone used Dr Kirk's and if so what is your opinion of the product.

This is not good practice when a company start to treat their customers as mere numbers on their mailing lists, and ......as far as I know......who have had a good reputation in the past. Bad ..very bad.:nonono: They need to realise that in these days of social media networks word gets round very fast.

I haven't done much business with TR, but I have to echo Alex's comments about Vince at Turners Workshop - a pleasure to deal with!

It is disgusting, why not drop an email asking if this would be sufficient rather than just sending out what they believe to be an equivalent ... :nonono:

Send it back is what i would recommend, to me it seems as they are trying damned hard to rid themselves of the Craft Supplies stock, at the risk of losing customers ... :vangry:

I hope your Geordie visa is still current, Terry - else they might not let you across the Tyne bridge ... and you wouldn't want to be stuck looking at that blessed statue all day!

Staggeringly naive customer service.

With todays "connected consumer" this kind of thing travels like wildfire, this thread being a perfect example of the phenomenon. There will be a lot of people who will read this and not comment, they will just vote with their mouse !

Who the hell in their right mind thought a 6.5mm drill was an acceptable alternative to a 7mm drill ? Madness.

The annoying thing you will incurr the costs of returning the un asked for product.

I've looked at the TW site before and been put off by the multitude of "waiting image" products on there, especially in things where it matters like pen blanks. I'm not too fussed for other stuff like tins of chestnut sanding sealer.

So, good to hear of positive experiences, I may well give them a shot for some of my next needs.

About time some of these retailers realised the world has changed.

Rant over.

PS Have a guess who sells retail solutions and specialises in ecommerce strategy :funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny:
