I suppose the bats could always be cut up to make pens. Just to add to the humiliation I'd use kits from Timberbits. :rolling:

63 Million? Might be but Poles, Bulgarians, Syrians, Romanians, and Ukranian tarts dont play Cricket, neither does the one of yours we've got locked up in the Equadorian embassy. Speaking of which, why are you sending your criminals over here?......................

Neither, it appears, do many English people ... My South African mates have taken to calling the England squad the 'South African B team'. Explains why so many Saffers have taken this crushing defeat so personally!

For me, there is no shame in losing at any game, I don't particularly like cricket and football even less, but what is shameful is the behaviour of the Australian team in the earlier stages. Not only are they very poor losers, but they are atrocious winners.

I understand wha you mean, Peter, but the days of 'sportsmanship' implying a standard of chivalry went away when sportsmen started having huge wads of cash thrown at them. These days it's 'win at all costs' or else your income is severely impacted. I think we just have to get used to it.

We don't have to accept it and I never will. If the governing body in Oz had grown a pair they would have stamped on the poor behaviour with a massive fine that would make it understood what would happen to others who behave the same way, the way the FA try to not allow the game to be brought into disrepute. You can't stop every infraction, but you can hit them where it hurts when they do.

There is an upside to losing the Ashes to them, they will winge all the more next time they lose it:funny::banana:

All winners are grinners last nights cliffhanger 50 overs won by the Aussies batting second setting a world record for that ground with two balls to go the praise given to England was copius by the winners. Seven on the trot wins how it goes in the world of so called sport a spotter in the major Tennis was caught sending remote results from a sender sewn into his clothing to overseas connections so they could place winning bets before the systems over there received them so much again for the people attracted by international sport. The game of cricket incidentally is controlled from India who have a stranglehold on the game administration world wide, interesting how many times in the UK grounds were flooded etc over time the word gentlemen and fix is universal the huge crowds here in this country expect and are given incredibly beautiful wickets and grounds and facilities for visiting teams, this English team has received the best time during their stay. The words fair go means something here.

It really is a sad the way all sports are seeming to be dragged through the mud with betting scandals, what the answer is other than banning betting I do not know :goesred:

One the matter of the ashes it looks like England are in a good position to win :iknow:
I never thought I'd enjoy woman's cricket so much :whistler:

Australia population 22.7m, Yorkshire population 5.3m.
2012 Olympics gold medals won 7 each.
Which just goes to show there's not enough yorkshireman in the england team!
Then again we are a breed apart.

In a church it would be called saving grace. The aussie womans team has been all conquering up until. Time to share the honours I say. In a pub it would be called one for the road.
