An Natural edge bowl but I wasn't brave enough to make it any thinner.

Lovely bowls Paul,
& nowt wrong wi chunky bowls.
Not everyone wants to see light shining through them.

The most popular bowl I had on my stall at Christmas was a big bit of sycamore, a 13 inch bowl that was rather chunky & heavy.
It was the one bowl that everyone HAD to touch & feel - sold it too.

I cut down the tree last year. It wasn't a very big one unfortunately but I may be getting some more from another wood in the near future and there will be enough for everyone if I get it.

Lovely yew, Paul, one of the nicest of wood species. And you've made some cracking bowls from some of it! Well done:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

 Lovely pair of Bowls. Yew is a beautiful timber. Excellent quality and finish
My only attempt at turning bowls so far ended in me chasing a semi roughed out bowl out of the workshop down the drive. :sob:
Have got plenty of blanks so heres to the new year and more practice :goesred:

Yew has character Paul:thumbs::goesred: and you used it well, the natural edged bowl is a winner and the other one a grinner fit to grace any situation, I found them to be great and thank Woody for giving so much inspiration to do these bowls.

Kind regards Peter.

Sorry Neil that's gone now although it is to my parents so I could do a reshoot when I visit which according to them is not often enough.
