Nice one Alex, well turned and finished. Very thin indeed, just like I used to be. :funny:

Nice Alex, have you got a picture of the bottom?

Are you sure that is acacia? Me thinks that looks like Robinia, aka false acacia or locust tree?

Nice whatever.

Lovely bowl Alex, like the simple clean lines. Neil's right, it is Robinia pseudoacacia, usually just called 'Robinia' to differentiate it from the huge numbers of tropical true acacias. This tree is originally from North America but it's now common all over Europe. Whatever you call it though, it's a super and much underrated wood and you've done it justice.

Morning Alex as I viewed your bowl first thought was that timber was grown somewhere other than over here no acacia has growth rings indicating it grew up in a pretty good paddock somewhere, then Neil identified it followed by Lig from Bolton.

Nonetheless its a beaut bowl, shaped well, they are not easy to show in one pic but from over here looks good. Well done.
