Well, if pen turning was addictive, segmented pen turning is crack cocaine! First up a Jr Gents in Cherry with walnut veneers, then a letter opener in ash and Burr Elm with a sheet of pewter separating them. The pewter gave me a scare because when I started sanding at 180 grit it spread metal dust into the surrounding wood. But as I progressed through the grits it settled, and a good blow with compressed air before sealing sorted it out. Phew!
