Two bookmarks added. Won't be long before I'm an expert at identifying wood... I'm already up to Ash.

I have two references come to mind in our Club is a guy retired now from CSIRO degreed Forester ask him for an identity on a tree he pulls out his 10 times magnifier makes a slice cut with his penknife makes a serious pronouncement thats definitely a hardwood and a week later consulting all his text books comes up with an approximate. A bushy mate from interstate I see occasionally can correctly identify every Aussie timber I have ever asked him he lives off it at the pub you know he says Peter is always trying to stump me never has yet, he is built like the rock of Gibralter, his Idea of fishing is travel 2 to 3 thousand miles up to the nth of Australia to do it in his words properly.

Peter.
