The Ash bowl I made the other week from a log that young Terry gave me it still lives in the workshop it is 14" x 11" x 3 1/2" with an oil finish I had to take a chance and bring it indoors over night a few times as it is to cold to oil in the workshop and the wood it still not dry enough to keep it indoors with the heating on I hope it was worth the wait note the difference in colour between mine and Terrys Ash bowl he showed last week http://www.penturners.co.uk/turning-bowls/3229-one-has-been-labour-love.html one a polish finish the other an oil finish

Yet again Woody a fantastic bowl with lovely shape and finish, its a shame about the small feature that some might call a split but it is extremely nice nevertheless.

Yes the split is annoying it goes right through to the outside but hay ho someone will want it if I decide to sell it but I will have a fight on my hands with Violet she loves it

What oil finish did you put on that Woody ?

Does it require any extra process to get the shine ?

Gorgeous bowl by the way, executed with the skill we expect from you.
