I got a phone call from a mate asking me if I could make a calligraphy pen for his brother. After a bit of searching on the internet I decided on this.
Well here is the finished product, the wood is the sapwood of a Albizia lebbeck tree, finish is CA.

While I was at it I thought I would make one for my self to try out as I am too young to have use these at school, although all the desks had holes in them for ink wells.

This one is made from the heartwood of the Albizia lebbeck tree, finish with a ubeaut shithot wax stick.

I mentioned it to a contractor at work and he said show me, My daughter is a tattoo artist and does calligraphy, as soon as he saw it he said I will buy it for her birthday.

Nice job Mark. Takes me back 50 years when we had to use a dip pen at primary school and being ink monitor was a much coveted role.
