I tried it on a sierra right from the start so no roughing gouge and I must say I am very imprest with the results the only sanding I done was 400 & 600 grit then polished I was so imprest I made a shorter tool with one of these tips on just for pens I made three pens and the only this was the only tool I used from beginning to the end thank you Eamon they are the best tip of all

I'm not familiar with these tipped tools Wood although I have bought some but haven't got around to using them yet. I'll have to give it a go

No problem woody. I have a shorter tool for pen turning and it feels much better and feel in control if it too.

Glad you liked them, I have used them for quite a few years now and find them easy to use and give a good finish.

Like the shorter versions as well very comfortable, I do prefer breaking down from the square with a heavier tool doing all the finishing with shorter ones the heavier ones handle from the square to round away from the tool rest.

Thanks for the master class Woody.

Got to admit Woody until seeing what you and Brian did with these tools at your open day i never even looked at them, i have since bought both the round and square Mid Size Easy Wood Tools and think they are great to have in the shed. :bwink:
