I got the inspiration from seeing one of Woodies showpieces and thought I must give it a go.
I had a bit of Walnut left after doing the letter A for my grandaughter which I showed a few weeks back. This bowl is finished in sanding sealer and Microcrystaline wax.

Bloody well done old un that looks good to me mate love it

I think I learned a lot on this one Woody and I would make it easier for myself next time. If I can get the right piece of wood I would like to make another and probably put a domed lid with a finial on as I think it would compliment this bowl !!!

Did you cut that section off with the bandsaw before turning or after ????:thinks:

Excellent work BTW although I have a feeling that I saw them when down at your house. If I can get the right piece of wood I will have a bash !!!!

It was all done on the lathe Terry no bandsaw involved mate
