Had one very similar for turning closed end pens there was a kit were the tube had a thread on one end which you screwed on the the mandrel when it was finished the nib end screwed in on the same thread and it worked

With a tap & die set you can make your own a piece of threaded rod and some tubing grip the rod in your chuck cut a thread in the rod cut it of glue it in your bit of wood screw it on the threaded rod a bit of support from the tailstock and turn away

As I saw it dad I fort it don't do nuffink I can't do wiv a tube in my chuck init?
O-ring to add a bit of grip if needed.

Record used to sell a pin chuck exactly the same for turning pepper mills as this but now it has been replaced by a 4 jaw version
