Celtic Cross for Next weeks Project

One of next weeks project, i was asked to make a dark wood pen with a Celtic Cross in it from a lad at work.

The wood i chose was Indian Rosewood, the wood for the cross and center band is Canary wood. It is a while since i made the Celtic Cross, it was for a Leeds Utd fan, i made the cross from plastic, the wood was Pear ...

Thanks Frankie, my only worry is the Canary wood can be a little unpredictable, i have it before where it has torn ... :goesred:

The finished pen from the blanks in the first post. Didn't turn out as expected ... The kerf of the blade is 2mm so i guess going down to a slimline was not a good idea as the barrel is to thin which then loses the crosses profile.

Maybe the 45 degree angle is to much mate, why not go to a 60. Or would that still give the same effect? Still looks good, the colours really go together. :bwink:
