open segmented box

Not don any segmented stuff for a while, so made this box today. I used burr elm for the base and the lid, and sapele and spalted beech for the segments. Lots of fun if not a little nerve wracking

Well done Brody that is one thing I have never had a go at I'm to impatient but I always admire this type of thing and this is no exception

Brody fantastic mate the lid even looks like cork almost surreal. Loved the whole exercise, the appearance and finish.

Do you use a press Brody? :nooidea:
I did use a press mate yeah. I built a simple one to accept the Sue Harker jigs, which are really good and easy to use. Fixed a dowel in the center of the press so the jig is free to rotate and bobs your uncle. Cheers mate
