I have often looked at these Tony, but i know that they would lay in a tub somewhere in the shed and get forgotten about ... :whistling:

I've made a few Tony. A 2 inch slice through a log of yew and inset a clock into it is easy to make. I think it looks good but people either love or hate them.

Hi Tony,
I've had a go at a few clocks and am currently working on a wooden gear clock.......... well I've made up the blanks for the gear wheels. here is a pic of my kitchen wall clock made up from an insert fitted to a beech bandsawn panel routed round the edge. The insert is mounted through a DVD disc and slate coaster center drilled for the spindle

I drove over there last easter for the forstner bit and when I got there he had decided to close early for easter. He put it on his website while I was driving down the M62.
I therefore decided to buy it online!!!!:fart:

Make sure you get the right forstner bit Tony. I think it's a 57mm bit. Ask Tools of Birstall is the best place to get one. They are about £17

Regards
Terry

I was actually thinking of doing it on the lathe mate? :thinks:
