Noticed my baffle fitted loosely losing suction so while I had it apart pics show the baffle upside and downside and in position fed by a powerful vacuum shop type dedicated to this lathe.

THen taped the lid to drum. The design of the baffle available on the net by a guy called Thien.

Handy set up there Peter, taping the top can only help with the suction, super job. :thumbs::thumbs:

That looks great Peter, you've done a super job on it, its a shame to have to tape the top each time, couldn't you get an extra large o ring to seal it?

Strange my knee jerk reaction to tape I was discussing with the oracle earlier all I needed was a suitable cut open tube since the vacuum would suck it in however it takes but 5 mins to retape occassionally. The resulting seal now I have to wear hearing protection you cant move wind fiercely without noise using vacuum. Tested out the new system of turning both work great.
