Just finished installing the VL150 spent a half hour on the phone with the the Electronic Speed Controller supplier it is magic. Had to raise the new 1 HPmotor the first new motor I have ever bought 5 inches plus rails to clear the opening in the headstock rear to enable top of the bench mounting. The motor arrived yesterday at noon finished installing it at 11.30 pm tired and happy as. Now to make a belt guard reroute the vacuum system and Eureka I will be back in business.

After putting away 500 small and large tools real clean up ready then to take pics (couple of days max effort) Programmed to switch on off and using the variable Potentiometer on the controller from whoa to go an Epic adventure, quiet as smooth as thrilled to bits.

Kind regards Peter.

I can't wait to see the pics Peter. It sounds like you're having as much fun setting it up your new lathe and re-organising your workshop as when you're turning. The only think I don't understand is 'belt guard'? are you going soft? Normally you would have belts turning around your privates whilst jumping off roofs :funny: :funny:
